Hair Care

Hair, our crowning glory... but it's not always is it. Fine hair, thick hair, damaged hair, dyed hair... so many types of hair. Everyone is different and has different needs.

I have really fine hair and it's pretty much naturally straight. I also used to like to dye my hair different colours, just cos I could. So, I've had a lifetime of perms, tongs, hairdryers, dyes, and so on.

Nowadays I've chosen to go au naturelle which means kindof grey but, you know what? I really like it now. Plus, I don't have to use dyes any more. However, after years of long hair (read too lazy to get it cut), I've recently had it cut short which means I do need to do a bit of styling - so my brush-dryer is getting a workout these days.

I'll be honest, my hair doesn't get a lot of looking-after these days. However, now I'm back to drying and styling, I figure it needs to have a bit of love'n'care.

I've been using dōTERRA's shampoo and conditioner for a while now since I ditched my hideously expensive ones - they had gold in them and cost... a LOT! However, they made my scalp itch. So I switched to dōTERRA and love the way my hair is now so lovely and soft and my scalp no longer itches.

My low-tox life extends to hair care and I know a lot of commercial brands have lots of really nasty chemicals in them and don't get me started on any with 'fragrance' in them. I find just smelling them these days makes me feel ill.

Everyone is different though and what suits my hair, may not suit yours.

So, this workshop isn't about making your own shampoo and conditioner - there's just too many variations of hair. What we will make is some great products to support your hair care.

You will take home

  • anti-frizz spray or sea salt spray (your choice)
  • heat protecting spray
  • herbal hair spray
  • hair perfume (real stuff not fake fragrance!)
  • a sample of dōTERRA's shampoo and conditioner for you to try

Cost is $30 and includes all containers, ingredients, labels and a recipe booklet with the workshop recipes and some extras. Additional bottles and containers will be available for purchase at the workshop. Cash or credit card accepted or book via the Eventbrite link here.

Refreshments will be served. Please advise any dietary requirements here
